قلعة هيميجي، اكتُملت 1609، تراث عالمي وكنز وطني. جدرانها المطلية بالأبيض تُذكر بمالك الحزين الأبيض في الطيران، ومن هنا لقبها «قلعة مالك الحزين الأبيض». بعد ترميم 2009-2015 تتألق أبيض لا تشوبه شائبة.
