About this location: Takashima Park (Suwa)
Takashima Park in Suwa City is built on the ruins of Takashima Castle, the former seat of the Suwa domain. Once known as «Suwa's Floating Castle,» its reconstructed keep evokes the past, while about 100 cherry trees around the moat bloom in mid-April. The keep mirrored in the moat with cherry blossoms is one of Suwa's signature spring scenes. Winter illumination and summer lotus flowers also draw visitors.
