Il Lago Suwa, nel centro di Nagano a 759 m, è il lago più grande della prefettura. Famoso per l'«Omiwatari», creste di ghiaccio che emergono in pieno inverno, e per i fuochi d'artificio estivi. Ispirazione del lago nel film «Your Name».
