Matsumoto Kasteel is Nationale Schat en een van de 12 originele kastelen van Japan. Zijn pikzwarte muren leverden de bijnaam «Kraaienkasteel» op. De witte kammen van de Noordelijke Alpen op de achtergrond en de spiegelende binnengracht geven het vierseizoenenpracht.
