A ponte Kurushima-Kaikyo é uma tripla ponte suspensa (total 4.105 m) sobre o estreito de Kurushima. Ícone do Shimanami Kaido, foi a primeira tripla suspensa do mundo. Correntes rápidas sob a ponte e vãos enormes criam a cena mais dramática do Mar Interior.
