Ang Shiretoko Peninsula, World Natural Heritage site, ay lumalawak sa Dagat ng Okhotsk. Primordial na kagubatan na may kayumangging oso at mga kuwago na manghuhuli ng isda, lumulutang na yelo sa taglamig at mga talon ng Kamuiwakka sa tag-init ay nananatiling birhen.
