Die Naruto-Straße zwischen Tokushima und Awaji zählt zu den drei größten Gezeitenströmen der Welt (max. 1,3 km breit). Frühlings- und Herbst-Springfluten erzeugen bis zu 20 m große Strudel: fotografieren vom Ausflugsboot oder dem Uzu-no-Michi-Steg unter der Onaruto-Brücke.
