Taman Joyama di Matsumoto pada 650 m termasuk dalam «100 Lokasi Sakura Terbaik Jepang». Sekitar 400 pohon sakura mekar sementara plaza pengamatan mencakup pusat Matsumoto, Alpen Utara, dan Gunung Norikura. Sakura dengan Alpen bersalju menjadi pemandangan musim semi unik Matsumoto.
