Lo Yumedono (Sala dei Sogni) nel recinto est di Horyu-ji è una sala ottagonale costruita nel 739 sul luogo del Palazzo Ikaruga del Principe Shotoku. Custodisce la statua nascosta Guze Kannon (periodo Asuka), visibile solo in aperture limitate di primavera e autunno. La silhouette ottagonale equilibrata è un tesoro architettonico.
