Chichibugahama is een breed en ondiep strand in Mitoyo. Bij eb weerspiegelen getijdenpoelen de zonsondergang, waardoor het de bijnaam «Japans Uyuni-zoutvlakte» kreeg. Op rustige avonden verschijnen hemel en silhouetten als een perfecte spiegel op het natte zand.
