Ang Yufuin ay isang highland onsen-bayan na pinaganda ng Bundok Yufu. Yunotsubo-Kaido, Lawa ng Kinrin at maumog na umagang tanawing kalye plus mga sining na espasyo sa tahimik na kagubatan ay nag-aalok ng tahimik na alternatibo sa Beppu. Ang taglagas-taglamig na bukang-liwayway na ulap sa Lawa ng Kinrin ay hindi maipalit.
