Tofuku-ji, tempio capo zen Rinzai fondato nel 1236, è tra i luoghi più famosi di Kyoto per il fogliame d'autunno. La vista dal ponte Tsuten-kyo su un mare di 2.000 aceri definisce l'autunno giapponese. Il verde fresco di inizio estate è altrettanto rinfrescante.
