Ang Kiyomizu-dera, itinatag noong 778 at lugar ng UNESCO, ay kumakatawan sa Kyoto. Ang "Kiyomizu stage" ng main hall ay walang gamit na pako at tumatanaw sa downtown mula sa 13 m taas. Sakura sa tagsibol, dahon ng taglagas, niyebe sa taglamig at gabing iluminasyon ay nag-aalok ng nakakapagulat na eksena.
