Katsurahama is een Stille Oceaan-strand dat in klassieke poëzie wordt geprezen als maanobservatieplaats. Vijfkleurige kiezelstenen, golven van de Kuroshio-stroom en het 5,3 m hoge standbeeld van Sakamoto Ryoma (opgericht in 1928) maken het iconisch. Het gebied is het Katsurahama-park, met aquarium en Ryoma-museum.

- Katsurahama Aquarium — opened in 1931; with a Pacific Ocean backdrop, the show stadium photographs spectacularly
