تنگه ناروتو بین توکوشیما و جزیره آواجی یکی از سه جریان جزر و مدی بزرگ جهان (حداکثر عرض ۱.۳ کیلومتر) محسوب میشود. جزر و مد بهاری و پاییزی گردابهایی تا ۲۰ متر تولید میکند: از قایقهای گردشگری یا گذرگاه اوزو-نو-میچی زیر پل اوناروتو عکس بگیرید.
