Le détroit de Naruto, entre Tokushima et l'île d'Awaji, compte parmi les trois plus grands courants de marée au monde (largeur max 1,3 km). Les grandes marées de printemps et d'automne produisent des tourbillons jusqu'à 20 m : photographiez depuis les bateaux ou la passerelle Uzu-no-Michi.
